I love being able to purchase digital music, but I do kind of miss the process of buying CD’s. I mean I do still purchase CD’s from time to time, but it’s just not the same as it used to be.
I miss hearing the first single from an artist’s new album and wondering if I will like anything else they make. I didn’t grow up with a lot of money, so I had a process where unless I was a huge fan of an artist or group, I would wait until I liked at least 3 songs on an album before I decided to buy it. If I only liked 1 or 2 songs, I would usually just buy the single(s) instead of having a full album of songs I wasn’t likely to enjoy. Of course it didn’t always work in my favor, but I did enjoy the process.
"You said I move too slow, I showed you to the door / You said you’d call me later, I said don’t call no more / But it’s cool if you can’t wait for me, I’m glad you let me know / 'Cuz you showed me your true face, baby, the first time I said no”
This song was always one of my favorites from this particular album.
