Hand Holding
While it may not be a kiss or hug, I think this form of comfort is nice and simple way to show a connection between two people.
- Angel/Cordy: Cordy’s regular visions are turned into her never-ending visions and she ends up in the hospital because of them. Angel manages to stop them and once Cordy comes out of it he holds her hand. This moment was great because we got to see how close they had gotten and I really think this was the beginning of the shift in their relationship.
- Lois/Clark: Clark goes to visit Lois in the hospital and they talk about Clark’s fortress. Surprisingly Clark grabs her hand and he smiles at her. Lois on the other hand, seems to feel awkward about and he slowly lets go. He looks a little sheepish afterwards which was great.
- Sam/Jason: Sam was in car bomb explosion and was rushed to the hospital. She eventually wakes up, but realizes that she in unable to hear. It’s temporary, but she still reaches out toward Jason and he holds her hand.
- Kate/Ben: Kate is upset after unsuccessfully trying to help an innocent woman get out of prison. She’s sitting in Ben’s car and he grabs her hand in order to comfort her. I thought this was significant because we (and Kate) get to see a softer of Ben.
Note: I wonder what it says about my shipping tastes that 3 of the 4 couples moments take place in a hospital.
