I love the wide variety of reactions to the ballet. Fred & Wesley have them most normal reaction. Cordy’s bored out of her mind and has fallen asleep on Angel’s shoulder. Angel’s seen the exact performance before so he knows something is wrong (Otherwise he would have been happy having Cordy’s head on his shoulder). Out of all the reactions though, I think my favorite reaction is Gunn’s because he wasn’t too excited about going, but ended up really loving it. I loved seeing a different side to him.
I love that while she’s willing to help, she clearly still hates Darla’s guts. And the look on Cordy’s face after she punches Darla will always make me laugh.

I really liked their friendship and I wish we gotten to see more of it. I will always be disappointed that they didn’t get to have a final moment together in “You’re Welcome” like Cordy had with Wesley.
I truly feel that the writers lost track of the initial vibe of hope the show had in its first 3 seasons. That despite mistakes both present and past we have hope. I loved their friendship to and i feel that this is one of those things that got lost. Which was a pitty..they deserved more of a goodbye.
I agree and that’s why whenever I rewatch the series I usually only watch up until the end of season 3 and then I skip to “You’re Welcome”. Season 4 was horrible, but I think I could have accepted what happened had Joss actually dealt with everything that happened during that season in Season 5. I never will accept that explanation he gave that Cordy had no more story to tell because having Cordelia dealing with everything that happened to her would have been interesting story. I also couldn’t accept that the gang would go and work for the very place they’d been fighting for 4 years. I think the show could have rebounded had they gone back to the original formula instead of whatever it was that we got in season 5.

3x05 Fredless
On the surface it’s not a Cordy/Angel centric episode, but if you look closer there are several ship worthy instances. The scene where Cordy calls Angel “Mr Big Fat Hero” and he worries that she thinks he’s fat. I love that Gunn rolls his eyes like this kind of thing is common occurrence. I also love the little dance Angel does when Cordy calls him over to patch up his wounds and the affectionate way Cordy calls him a dork.
I also always find the setup kind of hilarious when they are attacked near the end of the episode. While Gunn & Wesley are attempting to fight the monster off, Cordy and Angel are just standing there casually with their arms around each other.
Cordy Patching up Angel
I always loved these scenes because they always seemed kind of domestic to me. Especially since prior to AtS, Angel would have most likely either taken care of the wounds himself or just waited for them to heal on their own. I liked that he was able to let other people take care of him after years of mostly being alone. These scenes also managed to show a more nurturing side to Cordelia that people may not have noticed in the beginning.
I also love that by Season 3, Angel actually seems to look forward to getting patched up by Cordy. It’s not in the caps , but I always love that moment in Fredless when you see Angel dancing over to Cordy so she can patch him up.
